● Requirements for the M.Phil. Degree
The M.Phil. Programme are required to complete a minimum of 36 credits of coursework for graduation, including 6 credits for required course and 30 credits for elective courses.
1.Requied Course:
Direct Study on Graduation Thesis/ 6 credits
This course is designed to strengthen students’ skills in argumentation and research writing, with special emphases on rhetorical strategies and logical reasoning. This course has 3 major objectives. It aims to:
(1)Recognize the style of Chinese for academic writing
(2)Introduce the research method of thesis writing
(3)Cultivate the ability for thesis writing in Chinese
2.Elective Courses:
(1)Category A: Chinese Literature and Culture
(2)Category B: Chinese Linguistics and Phonology
(3)Category C: History of Chinese Thought
